Our pregnancy announcement ecards are back online again. A while ago we had to take down the script due to some technical difficulties and it took us a while to finally fix it, but the pregnancy eCards are back online again.

Unfortunately we had to take down the ecards software today. Apparently the software is not very safe and so we decided to temporarily suspend the software for the ecards. The developer has not posted a security update yet and so it is best practice to remove the software for the time being.

We do apologize for the inconvenience and assure you that we are working hard to bring the pregnancy ecards back soon.

Those small changes that your body is currently going through will be hard at first, but they will become easier over time.

Try and be aware of the foods that you are eating. If a certain type of food doesn’t make your body feel well, go ahead and avoid it during your pregnancy – your tastes may change during those nine months. Remember to enjoy your pregnancy – it is a feeling like no other feeling in the world.

Caffeine and Pregnancy

Most health care professionals agree that those who consume large amounts of coffee and tea should cut down during pregnancy. There is however no exact figure of caffeine that can be deemed safe during pregnancy with some claiming it as 200mg while others say even 300mg would be safe.
It was previously thought that caffeine can cause birth defects and miscarriages. This however has been proven wrong by recent research. They do however remain a slight possibility if caffeine is taken in excess.

Caffeine can be found not only in tea and coffee but also in soft drinks, chocolates and certain painkillers. It is a stimulant that will increase your metabolism as well as raise your heart rate. While this may not be a problem, large amounts of caffeine can cause insomnia and feelings of anxiety as well as lead to withdrawal symptoms when discontinued.

Caffeine can also act as a diuretic. This means that it drains fluids which would otherwise be required to maintain a healthy pregnancy.

If caffeine intake is kept under a moderate amount the worst that can happen is an increase in the symptoms of pregnancy. It can cause more nausea and sleeplessness which can get uncomfortable for the mother to be. If you chose to stay on the side of caution and refrain from drinking caffeine drinks, there are a number of ways you can give up the habit.

- Slowly replace alternate drinks with decaffeinated ones.
- Try other natural drinks such as fresh juices.
- Change to herbal tea which contains no caffeine.

5. Used car seat?

These are generally not safe and should not be considered unless you get it from someone who can provide an accurate history. This is because if the car seat has been in a crash it is highly unlikely it can withstand more physical trauma which could be as a result of a second crash. Baby’s safety always comes first

6. Think long-term.

Some car seats are designed to grow with the baby and function well until the baby reaches a certain age and weight. Sometimes it makes more sense to spend a little more on a car seat that can be transformed or used when baby outgrows the initial setup.
In general, the best Baby car seat is one that puts safety of the baby above all else and this should be the main consideration when making a purchase.
